Aleron has an exciting opportunity for an HR/Legal Intern! The successful candidate with split time between our global headquarters in downtown Buffalo, NY, and our operational center in Williamsville, NY. This is an opportunity to work with two motivated and communicative teams.

Job Summary:  
The HR/Legal Intern will play a crucial role in developing, coordinating, and organizing our programs. Working closely with our experienced and dynamic HR and Legal teams, the intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow both personally and professionally. This position involves working on projects that align with our company's strategic objectives, with a primary focus on fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace that inspires employees to perform at their best. Through engaging assignments, ongoing feedback, and valuable coaching, the HR/Legal Intern will acquire skills and knowledge that are highly relevant to their future career as an emerging professional.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in promoting and disseminating cutting-edge HR/Legal developments for the Staffing Industry through various social media channels.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to revise and streamline policies, ensuring clarity and compliance with current regulations.
  • Assist in developing engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, videos, and quizzes.
  • Support the HR and Legal teams in creating and updating user-friendly maps that outline the various state laws, with a particular focus on cannabis and pay equity.
  • Conduct research to gather accurate and up-to-date information on legal requirements and regulations across different jurisdictions.
  • Support the implementation of necessary updates or improvements to key HR programs.
  • Assist with the implementation of HR technology initiatives, including training development and providing project insights.
  • Partner with teams to support projects related to process improvement and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform essential administrative tasks such as responding to emails, answering phone calls, and filing.
  • Undertake HR/Legal special projects and analyses as assigned.



Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled student working towards the completion of a bachelor's degree or MBA (or recent graduate).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in using various social media platforms.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus.
